Jersey City, NJ, November 22, 2017 – Thursday November 23, 2017 is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day is traditionally a day for family and friends to get together for a special meal and to give thanks for what they have. It has been widely celebrated in the United States since 1863. As such, our Member Health Centers will be hosting many different types of celebrations as our way of saying thanks for all you do!
To get into the Thanksgiving spirit, Alaris Health at Hamilton Park got the festivities started by hosting a Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 15th from 12:00pm – 1:30pm in the 3rd Floor Day Room where they had live entertainment from Tony Saxon during their meal!
On November 16th from 5:00pm – 6:00pm in the Dining Room, Alaris Health at Riverton held their Fall Elegant Dining event where participants got to eat turkey and yams just like the pilgrims used to do. Live music was enjoyed by Rhonda Denet who performed From Jazz to Soul.
Over at Alaris Health at Essex, there was a “Thanks” Giving Party on November 21st from 2:00pm – 3:30pm in the Ball Room. During this event, residents and staff will display their ‘Thank You’ poster boards that they prepared the day before in an arts and crafts program. There was even live entertainment by Barbara Harris!
