Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, a 230 bed-skilled nursing Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, seeks a recreation therapist to assist with the Center’s activity programs and collaborate with other recreation staff to develop the recreation program. Additional responsibilities include:
• developing programs based on each individual resident’s needs, interests and abilities
• maintaining strong relationships with residents’ families, incorporating them into the programs and encouraging participation
• documenting the programs’ and residents’ progress
• maintaining meticulous records that improve future planning
• recruiting and training volunteers
• and above all, ensuring that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes each individual’s needs and rights

• associate degree in recreation is preferred
• Possess exceptional communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
