Job Information:

Alaris Health at Riverton, a 122 bed-skilled nursing Center in Rahway, New Jersey, seeks a Quality Assurance Certified Nursing Assistant to perform various resident care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. His/her function may not exceed Standards of Practice as accorded by certification. The QACNA is supervised by a professionally licensed nurse. The QACNA will assume responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Attending Nursing and Quality Improvement meetings on a quarterly, or as needed basis to provide input from the nursing assistant perspective;
  • Attending Utilization Review Meetings and reports any issues to the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist
  • Assisting charge nurse in monitoring restorative care and other clinical programs, i.e., ADL sheets; flow sheets for accuracy, and report issues to QA Nurse
  • Familiarizes self with new residents within 24 hours of admission;
  • Conducting periodic resident care and unit checks (mthly and more frequesntly as necessary) with appropriate documentation, reporting results to nurse;
  • Establishes/verifies the certification/recertification forms for all Medicare residents
  • Audits for physician signatures on certifications/recertification, H & P completed within 72 hrs of admission
  • Audits for 700/701 therapy forms and monthly POS
  • Assessing equipment and supply needs and reports findings to the D.O.N. or designee on a routine basis;
  • Ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
  • Assisting in orientation and training of new CNAs and reports to charge nurses on new CNA’s problems and assists in retraining;
  • Reviewing and closes chart upone discharge
  • Sending weekly report to Senior CRS
Job Requirements:
  • The QACNA must be currently certified as a nursing assistant in NJ. He/she is required to attend 12 hours of in-service training per year as per New Jersey State Regulations to maintain certification.
  • Must be able to read, write, perform some charting as well as limited computer literacy
  • Speaks and writes the English Language fluently
