Alaris Health at The Chateau, a 73 bed-skilled nursing Center in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, seeks a Complex Care Quality Assurance Certified Nursing Assistant to perform various resident care activities and related non-professional services that are essential to caring for residents’ personal needs and comfort levels. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Attends Nursing and Quality Improvement meetings on a quarterly, or as needed basis
  • Assists charge nurse in monitoring restorative care and other clinical programs, i.e., bowel and bladder;
  • Gaining familiarity with new residents within 24 hours of admission;
  • Measures Vital Signs as directed by professionally licensed nurse.
  • Reviews Certified Nurse Aide charting at end of assigned shift.
  • Conducting periodic resident care and unit checks with appropriate documentation;
  • Assessing equipment and supply needs and reports findings to the appropriate report on a routine basis;
  • Assisting in orientating, training and refreshing of CNAs and promptly reporting any problems
  • And above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
Job Requirements:

JOB Requirements:

  • Currently certified as a nursing assistant in NJ.
  • Attend 12 hours of in-service training per year as per New Jersey State Regulations to maintain certification.
  • Able to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
  • Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
  • Possess strong leadership abilities
  • History of demonstrating advanced organizational and technical skills
  • Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and caring for equipment and supplies
  • Good understanding of basic medical asepsis, sterile techniques, and universal precautions to avoid infection of residents and self-contamination of equipment and supplies.
  • Minimum experience: as a CNA 2 years
  • CPR certification within 6 months
  • Experience in hospital setting or sub-acute unit
