Jersey City, NJ, May 27, 2016Alaris Health is extremely grateful for and proud of the volunteers who donate their time and energy throughout the year for our residents. In honor of National Volunteer Week last month, Alaris Health celebrated those volunteers with fun and commemorative festivities.

Volunteers come from a mix of Alaris Health residents and community members, led by each Alaris Member Health Center’s recreation director. Volunteers donate their time to organize, lead and participate in various activities for residents, including religious services, voter registration, fundraisers, daily activities like pet therapy, cooking classes, birthday parties, bingo, exercise and much more.

The National Volunteer Week events kicked off with an appreciation luncheon at Alaris Health at the Fountains – North Campus, followed by a dinner at Alaris Health at Rochelle Park in the evening. Volunteers and their guests attended the luncheon and dinner and enjoyed musical entertainment, food and beverages.

Volunteers and their guests were also invited to an appreciation and award ceremony at Alaris Health at Riverton. As tokens of appreciation for their dedication, each volunteer was presented with a certificate of appreciation, Silver Star keychain engraved with “Volunteers are shining stars!” and long-stemmed roses.

From the recreation directors who coordinate such events to the dedicated departments that participate, and of course, our faithful volunteers, Alaris Health would like to thank all the participants who contributed to making the volunteer program such a success. If you are interested in learning more or becoming a volunteer, please contact your nearest Alaris Member Health Center or email social-mailbox@alarishealth.com. We look forward to another wonderful year of volunteering.
